Nana Neul’s feature film tells the story of an icon of German cultural history: Friedrich Schiller (Jan Bülow), who risks everything for his close relationship with the composer Andreas Streicher (Hugo Tiedje). Together they fight — for art, for freedom, for friendship, and for love.
DIE STILLE LIEBT ES UND DIE NACHT is Heimatfilm’s third collaboration with Nana Neul after producing her TV movie UNSER KIND (OUR CHILD, 2017) and the international co-production TÖCHTER (DAUGHTERS, 2021).
