Heavily pregnant, Sandra has been sitting in prison for a few months, fiercely fighting to keep her child with her even after birth. However, the social worker and the youth welfare office are skeptical about her ability to handle it. They fear that if Sandra is put under pressure, she will revert to old patterns and lose control. In parallel, we witness Sandra in the time before her incarceration, as a strong woman who navigates through life with unyielding strength. She takes care of her elderly mother and has a passionate relationship. She is under tremendous pressure, driven, and sometimes, out of nowhere, reacts forcefully to whatever comes her way.
