Ten years after receiving her doctorate degree at the German Electron Synchrotron, one of the world‘s leading research facilities for theoretical elementary particle physics and home to the second-largest particle accelerator, Claudia Lehmann seeks discussion with her supervisor and mentor, Professor Gerhard Mack. One of the most respected physicists in Germany, Mack has always been known for intertwining the complexities of physics with political and social themes. Together, they try to find answers to one of the most fundamental questions: What is the meaning of ou existence, of life even?

CLAUDIA LEHMANN is a visual artist and active in the fields of performance art, video installations, experimental music, composing, and film and video directing. THE SYMPHONY OF UNCERTAINTY is her third feature film.
